The Wellsville Lodge of The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks would like to thank you for your participation in our 2008 - 2,009 Americanism Essay Contest. Also, we would like to thank each student who submitted an essay to our contest and the Fifth Grade Teachers for their participation.

The winners in this year's contest are as follows:

1^st Place : Zan Qaderi 5^th Grade
2^nd Place : Mackenzie Golish 5^th Grade

The essays we received were awesome and the Elks received great satisfaction reading each essay. Each of the above winners will advance to our District Competition and if successful at this level, they will move to the State Competition then on to the Nationals and possibly win the grand prize of a $1000.00 savings bond.

Again, thank you for allowing us to bring our Americanism Essay Contest to your school and we look forward to doing this again next fall.
