Scholarship Opportunity
The Allegany County Area Foundation will be accepting applications for scholarships. We encourage seniors and graduates attending college to apply. Applicants must be Allegany County residents, must plan to be a full-time student, and for most scholarships, must attend a four-year undergraduate college or university or intend to obtain a four-year degree from a college or university. Applicants must show scholastic achievement and merit, and in some cases financial need. Also please note that there is a "non-traditional" scholarship available for training to improve employment skills, and a scholarship available to specific relatives of the Wellsville Dresser Rand employees (children, spouses, grandchildren, or stepchildren).
Each application will be considered for all scholarships for which the student is eligible based on the information provided on the application form. Completed applications, including all required documentation, must be received by March 1, 2010. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. Please see guidance for any questions you may have concerning the Allegany County Area Foundation Scholarships. This is a great opportunity - don't miss out!
